It’s tough, but extremely good fun, quite sexy and will be the most seriously effective body shaping you’ve ever tried. iambarre is faster and more fun than Pilates and Yoga and is taught to lively and eclectic playlists. Added to this with a maximum of 10 in a class (6 in Beginners) you can be assured of plenty of individual attention from your Instructors.

In an iambarre class, we know how to best instruct you, how those little tweaks to a position can make all the difference to achieving your goals. Karen Taylor was the first person to bring barre based exercise to the Cambs area and since then, quite rightly, it has gained momentum in the industry. It does not, however, mean all barre classes are the same and you will find many inferior barre instructors and classes out there. All our instructors undertake our intense iambarre certified programme, which involves 100s of hours and many months of study and teaching practice, before qualifying to take your class. Anyone who attends an iambarre class, will tell you, it is the precision, control and the instructors’ innate understanding of human physiology, that ‘ramps’ up the intensity, effectively targeting all those trouble spots.

iambarre is suitable for anyone of any age or level of fitness as you will be taught to work within your own ability and then to progress from there. With regular attendance you will see fast results.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN CLASS?
Classes are 60 minutes long and involve a complete body workout using a ballet barre and equipment such as weights, balls and resistance bands. An iambarre class takes moves found in the ‘Barre’ section of ballet classes and then breaks them down to the pure mechanics of the movement giving you a body akin to a dancer’s physique; even if you have never done a ballet class in your life. You can expect strength and resistance work, core stability, intense and targeted routines for your ‘glutes’ alongside effective stretching and breathing techniques. Beginner classes will introduce you to the method, allowing you time to build and develop a strong technique and discipline, intermediate classes take that a little further, and at advanced level, you will be working with a faster pace and flow. With ALL sessions, you work under your insturctor’s watchful eye, as she keeps you safe and working efficiently.

If the class you want to book is full we hold a wait list and you will be contacted via text if a space becomes available. If you need to cancel a class please note that that we have a 48 hr cancellation policy and for any cancellations after this you will be charged for the space.
